Arun Rasiah is Professor of Ethnic Studies, with an MA and PhD in Education from Berkeley and a BA in History from Oberlin. He has taught in schools, jails, colleges and universities in the Bay Area, and was a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and University College London in 2019. His research interests include decolonial pedagogy, Islamic education, Muslims in the Americas, the South Asian diaspora, and Indian Ocean history.
